| A contrary indicator, based on volumes, moving in the opposite direction of the market and useful in spotting short-term extremes for intra-day trading. A ratio of 1 means the market is in balance. Above 1 indicates that more volume is moving into declining and >below 1 indicates that more volume is moving into advancing stocks. The indicator was developed by Richard Arms. |
