Comprehensive Insurance |
| A term used to describe an insurance policy in which a wide range of risks are covered. In car insurance, this sort of coverage pays for repairs or the replacement of the policy owner's vehicle and personal property damaged or lost due to events affecting the car, such as fire, theft, flood, or vandalism. Conversely, 'third party only' insurance would only compensate the insured for losses which he/she inflicts on another driver's car, and not for losses on the insured car. |
