Financial Services Compensation Scheme |
| The Financial Services Compensation Scheme is the UK's statutory fund of last resort for customers of authorised financial services firms. It was set up by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in December 2001, and replaced: the Building Societies Investor Protection Scheme, Deposit Protection Scheme, Friendly Societies Protection Scheme, Investors Compensation Scheme, PIA Indemnity Scheme, and the Policyholders Protection Board. |
